Creating a Packaging Design System For Cosmetic Brand

Yousen is a concept D2C skincare brand we created to showcase Glacian’s packaging process. For its Gentle Foaming Face Wash, we designed a calm, ingredient-honest visual system around a 100 ml foaming pump. The label uses a warm neutral base, custom aloe line-art, and a compact “Sulfate-Free / pH-Balanced” seal to signal softness at a glance. Clear hierarchy keeps the front minimal while the back organizes INCI, usage icons, and India-market declarations without clutter. We delivered a print-ready dieline (BOPP + matte lamination), vector pattern and icons, and e-commerce-ready mockups. The system is scalable for future variants and reads cleanly both on shelf and in thumbnails. (Fictional brand; self-initiated project by Glacian.)

Challenge

Sensitive-skin shoppers scan fast and distrust “harsh” cues. We needed a pack that reads “gentle,” “safe,” and “modern” at first glance, fits a compact foaming bottle, and leaves room for all India-market declarations (INCI, MRP, batch, cautions) without clutter.

Design rationale

We kept the front minimal to prioritize quick reading: brand → product → claims. A custom aloe illustration and a restrained green accent signal gentleness without shouting “natural.” Side/back-of-pack is organized into tidy blocks so retailers, regulators, and customers find exactly what they need.
